Are you planning on spending the holidays celebrating your favorite Disney characters in Florida?  No trip to Orlando is complete without finding a great deal on Disney Passes!  If you are planning a trip to the Disney theme parks this holiday season, make sure that you purchase valid tickets from an authorized ticket seller.  The quickest way to ruin your holiday is to buy tickets that are either fake, stolen or otherwise invalid.  That’s why we’ve put together these helpful tips for avoiding scams and making sure you plan the perfect Orlando adventure for your holiday season.

One easy rule of thumb to remember is that purchasing partially used Disney passes is NEVER a good idea.  You’ll likely see a lot of these for sale on sites like EBay and Craigslist, but it’s not actually legal to resell tickets like these and the tickets probably won’t work when you get to the park since Disney tickets are non-transferable and require a fingerprint to validate.  Save your money and only buy new, unused tickets from a reputable, authorized reseller.

Another simple thing to remember is if a ticket site is offering super low prices that seem too good to be true, they probably are.  Be wary of really low prices on passes unless they are from an authorized ticket seller, as many companies will advertise low prices on tickets just so you’ll enter your credit card information.  Later on down the road when you never receive your tickets, you’ll be kicking yourself for sharing so much personal information online.

Finally, unless you want to spend your holiday trip listening to a sales pitch about timeshares, be sure to read the fine print on any “deals” out there before you buy, as many companies will use the lure of cheap Disney passes to get you to listen to a long sales presentation.  Unless you really want a timeshare and are willing to invest the time in listening, skip these deals, as they aren’t really a good deal in the end.
