The 2nd Day Free is a great opportunity to truly take advantage of everything this amazing park has to offer. Most people know all about the exciting roller coasters – including the new flying coaster, Manta – and the whale and dolphin shows – like Believe, starring Shamu and pictured above. But, there are a ton of lesser known shows and fun things to do at the park that are included with regular admission!

These shows are performed daily, usually at least two or three times. Be sure to pick up a daily map to see show times.
Believe – The Sensational Shamu Show
Believe is the iconic and without a doubt the most popular live show at Sea World, featuring Shamu and other killer whales. Believe blends new killer whale behaviors with elaborate set pieces, state-of-the-art multimedia, music, and choreography. This inspirational show also accentuates the close relationship Sea World trainers have with these amazing animals.
If you’re looking for a way to beat the summer heat, sit in the Splash Zone, where Shamu will be more than happy to drench you in chilly 52 degree water!
Blue Horizons – at Whale & Dolphin Theater
Blue Horizons features acrobatic dolphins, soaring birds, and amazing stunt actors in a show about where the sea meets the sky. A young girl’s vivid imagination sets the stage for an extravaganza of dolphins, false killer whales, and a rainbow of exotic birds. In a show full of action both above and below the water, a cast of divers and aerialists plunge off the elaborate set into the deep blue water!
Clyde & Seamore Take Pirate Island – at Sea Lion & Otter Stadium
A swashbuckling adventure awaits you, featuring a sensational tale of lost loot, pirate plunder, and misadventures of the high seas. Sea World’s comical flippered family teams up on the most elaborate and realistic sea lion set ever built to offer more guest interaction. Hilarious hijinks ensue as the park’s talented sea lions, otters, and walrus play along as the members of a pirate ship search for buried treasure.
This show is pretty much the only guaranteed place you’ll see the adorable Sea World otters, as they currently do not have a public exhibit in the park. Be sure to get there early – a swashbuckling mime is there to entertain the audience and he is certainly a fan favorite!
A’Lure: the Call of the Ocean – located at Nautilus Theater
A’Lure tells the spectacular tale of the Sea Sirens, whose hypnotic calls have lured fishermen into their underwater lair for centuries. It’s a mariner’s story that comes to life with flying athletic performers, gravity-defying aerial tumblers and amazing silk yo-yo artists.
A’Lure is almost like a mini version of Cirque du’ Soleil. The talented actors are very impressive, but unfortunately not many people are even aware the show exists. I highly recommend checking it out!
Pets Ahoy – located at Seaport Theater
This hilarious show features the talents of a menagerie of dogs, cats, birds, rats, skunks, potbellied pigs, and other animals performing a series of amazing acts and skits. You’ll see more than 100 animal athletes show off their soaring, flipping, jumping, high-wire walking, dune buggy riding, and other skills – all with a comical twist.
This is my personal favorite of the smaller and lesser known shows at Sea World. It’s unique in that it showcases land animals and it’s really cool to see what everyday pets like cats and dogs are capable of when you put in the time and effort. What’s even more amazing – nearly all of these animals were rescued from animal shelters! Stay after the show and get a chance to meet and interact with some of the animals.
