While Florida is famous for its Orlando theme parks, what many people do not know is that we are famous for the holiday events that are held within them. With Halloween in full swing here in Orlando; the theme parks are gearing up to put on holiday festivities that would make Norman Rockwell glisten with glee. Probably the most elaborate of all of the seasonal Orlando theme parks to put on an event of epic proportions has to be Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Not only do they put on a fabulous Thanksgiving celebration that is still filmed and televised around the world, but they put on a Christmas celebration that is hands down the best celebration in Orlando. This is just one of the many events that are happening around town and is just one event that the folks at Disney are putting on for its guests. Hollywood Studios put on a Christmas event every year and on their back lot, they have a Christmas light showcase called the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights. This is a gigantic display of the most Christmas lights that you will probably ever see in your life. Next, Epcot has their Christmas event as well and during their normal operating hours, you can attend their Candlelight Processional that includes a choir, symphony orchestra and celebrity narrators such as Whoopi Goldberg, Isabella Rossellini and Trace Adkins. Universal Studios has their own Christmas event over at Islands of Adventure with the Grinchmas Celebration and should be very interesting as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is now open. I wonder if they are going to have a Christmas celebration. I will let you know if they do. And what would be a seasonal celebration at the Orlando theme parks without Orlando New Years Eve Parties. Every year at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Universal Studios, parties are held and some theme parks require a separate admission ticket. I will post soon on ticket prices and if there are any discount tickets to any of the Orlando theme park events that are having these world class celebrations. So for now, as I was saying in the beginning of my post, Halloween is here and Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights, Busch Gardens Howl O Scream 2010, and Mickey’s Not So Scary are in full swing and guests are loving it, so get your discount tickets today and I will keep you up to date on all of the holiday events to come at the Orlando theme parks.
