Orlando Florida Water Parks?
Yes, Orlando Florida is famous for it’s world class theme park attractions but it is also known for it’s world renowned water parks. Most people who do their homework before traveling to Orlando Florida for their vacations, seem to overlook the fabulous water parks that can be a delightful break in their tiring schedules and a great way to catch a long desired, Florida tan in the process. Lets start with my favorite, Walt Disney World Typhoon Lagoon. Typhoon Lagoon tickets can be purchased here at a discount and is located on the Walt Disney World Resort over by Downtown Disney. It is separate from the theme parks and does require an admission ticket to get in. Typhoon Lagoon waters are heated to toasty tropical comfort. Body surf or just relax and enjoy the paradise of always-perfect water temperature at one of the world’s largest wave pools. Parking and inner tube usage are included with admission in each Water Park. Swim into a tank with real live sharks and schools of tropical fish. This saltwater adventure takes place on a reef around an overturned sunken tanker. Non-swimming Guests can even go inside the tanker and observe the sharks through portholes.
Next is the Walt Disney World Blizzard Beach water park. This water park ranks #2 in the United States. Think of Florida, and the word “SNOW” does not naturally come to mind. This whimsical water park is built on the concept of a freak winter storm dropping snow over the western side of Walt Disney World, just north of the All Star Resorts. Blizzard Beach water park theming is continued throughout the park, as former ski slalom courses and bobsled and sledding runs become downhill water slides. Chair lifts carry swimmers to the top of the slides. Melting snow reveals sandy beaches, a pre-teen play area and many other activities. The best part about this winter-themed water park is that the water stays a toasty and comfortable 80-82 degrees all year round. Blizzard Beach tickets can be purchased here as well.
Next is my second favorite, Sea World Aquatica water park. Aquatica is a unique water park that covers 60 acres with lush landscaping inspired by the South Sea Islands. Inside Aquatica, the park’s crystal-blue rivers wind through hidden grottos and refreshing waterfalls, while rich greenery and bright flowers adorn towering rock formations. Aquatica has signature attractions that plung riders in clear tubes through a crystal-blue lagoon with black-and-white Commerson’s dolphins. Look quick as you are flying at a high rate of speed. Get the kids the eat all day wrist bands. This will allow them to eat whenever and wherever they want inside Aquatica. This is a seperate purchase aside from your Aquatica tickets.
Now for the Pièce de résistance, Wet n Wild Orlando. Wet and Wild, the world’s premier water park, features a full-day of fun for the entire family. Honored by Amusement Business Magazine as the nation’s best-attended water park since the onset of their survey, Wet n Wild has world-class signature thrill rides and quality service offer something for fun-lovers of all ages. Wet and Wild is the only place to get a whole heart pounding, over-the-edge intensity!
