Darrell Fry, Sports Media Director at Walt Disney World Resort, posted this awesome video of Mickey Mouse showing off his hip-hop dance moves at the Wide World of Sports!
Darrell: “This amazing Mickey dance routine is just one example of the one-of-a-kind experiences that take place at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex throughout the year.”
Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex will soon be transitioning into the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex over the next several months. Some events to look forward to include the Old Spice Classic college basketball tournament over Thanksgiving weekend, the Home Depot ESPN College Football Awards in December, and Atlanta Braves Spring Training in February.
Visitors to Orlando who wish to check out the Wide World of Sports can add the “Waterpark Fun and More” Option to their Disney Base Ticket. This option gives guests a certain number of visits per person (which varies based on the number of days of ticket) to your choice of: Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, DisneyQuest, Wide World of Sports, or Oak Trail Golf Course.
For example, if you purchase your discount Disney tickets through us, The Official Ticket Center, you could buy a 3-day Waterpark Fun and More ticket, and we’ll give you the 4th and 5th day FREE! You would then have 5 days at the main 4 theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom) PLUS 5 visits to the options listed above. You have a 14-day period to do whatever you want!
You could do one activity a day, and get 10 full days out of your ticket! Or, you could do a theme park in the morning, and a water park in the afternoon, overlapping your visits on top of your main parks! Or, you could go to Magic Kingdom all 5 days and use all 5 visits on Wide World of Sports! With the Magic Your Way ticket, you have the freedom and flexibility to spend your vacation doing what YOU want to do!
