Kennedy Space Center ~ As most know, today’s launch was scrubbed due to a hydrogen leak being detected at the Ground Umbilical Carrier Plate, an attachment point between the external tank and a 17-inch pipe that carries the hydrogen safely away from Discovery to the flare stack, where it is burned off. It has officially been rescheduled for Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 4:05am (YES, another final night launch!!!!). There will be no launch this coming up Monday, November 8th. Everything is back to normal business hours until November 30th.
Kennedy Space Center wants to thank everyone for being patient with them through this loooong shuttle launch week. They will pick it all up again in a few weeks and hopefully send Discovery on her way!!
Have a fabulous Friday and an even better weekend =)
