Is Disney World’s Annual Pass Still a Favorite Among Those Who Love It Most?

It’s true that the Disney World’s annual passholder program plays an important role every year – pulling the crowd, mostly the locals to the world’s most magical parks in Florida. While the annual passes are packed with many great discounts and offers, they are instrumental in taking the popularity of the parks’ important annual events to next level as well. However, the new developments and recent changes to the passholder program have made things a bit murkier for those who love to have it most. In deed we have a section of the crowd who thinks that the good old pass is diluted with new and unexpected changes today.

The price hike over the past few years and the increasing blockout dates, including other new and not so welcoming changes to the program is taking away the excitements from an otherwise special and popular annual pass program that keeps you coming back again and again. Still for some the price hike is of least concerned as compared to the unique fun and entertainment the Resort promises. But there are others who thinks the hike is a bit aggressive in nature and the blockout dates add up to the wounds.

It’s quite unfortunate to hear things such as – fans of Disney World are reluctant to renew their annual passes, or they are more content with a downgraded version of their passes or like to cancel it altogether. And worst still, some Disney loyal even prefer a Universal Orlando pass over the Disney one. Not that the Universal’s annual passholder programs are cheaper. They are highly prices as well, but comparatively cheaper and offer benefits to parties and premier events such as Halloween Horror Nights.

Though there is no official revelation for the 2016 annual passholder program changes as of yet, speculations suggest a more bleak future ahead. The advent of more blockout dates in upcoming days will definitely make the annual pass program a tough choice to choose from. Off course like every year the change in price and other new implementations are a part of the business and will be always there.

On the other hand, if the speculations are to be believed than it’s quite unfortunate for the fans. But then, Disney is a champion in pulling and retaining its beloved crowd unlike any other. The fact that its annual pass program is hitting a section of guests doesn’t really tells the whole story. We know Disney has an emotional bond with the passholders, and it cannot but only works towards strengthening that unique attachment.
