On February 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., New York City firefighters will assist local heroes and visitors in a historic stitching ceremony to help sew the Florida restorative patch, which features a flag that has flown over Kennedy Space Center, to The National 9/11 Flag.  Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is proud to host the official Stitching Restoration for the state of Florida.  Continue reading

New-Generation Military Communications Satellite Ready For Delivery To Support Mid-2010 Launch

Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex ~ Lockheed Martin  has completed all factory testing of the first satellite in the Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) program and the spacecraft is ready for delivery to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla., where it will be prepared for a mid-2010 liftoff aboard an Atlas V launch vehicle.

Kennedy Space Center Launch Update

As we previously reported, the Atlantis Shuttle will be taking off from Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral on May 14th.  However, there has been a change to the date that tickets for the launch will go on sale.  Kennedy just reported via Twitter that STS-132 Launch Tickets will go on sale Monday, April 26th at 9:00 AM on the Kennedy website.
