Planning a Florida Trip on Even the Tightest Budget with Orlando Ticket Deals

Planning a family vacation can be tough, especially when you have a modest budget that you must stick to and a big list of things that the whole family wants to see.  It isn’t impossible to plan a trip to Florida that you can afford, however, as there are so many ways to find Orlando ticket deals, great deals on hotels and even discounts on local events and attractions.  If you want to visit the magical theme parks and take in the beautiful beaches of Florida without breaking your budget, read on for our favorite traveler tips.

The biggest thing to remember when planning a budget trip to Orlando is that you should never pay full price for things like theme park tickets and any of the entertainment that you may want to see. You can always find discounted Disney passes, cheap passes for SeaWorld and Busch Gardens and even discounted flex passes for Universal Orlando online, so check out the latest deals before making your ticket purchase.

The area has plenty of smaller attractions as well, including the Medieval Times Dinner Theater and local zoos and aquariums that are fun to explore too.  To really stretch your budget, try mixing up some of the bigger theme park in the area with some of the less popular destinations.  Even though the theme parks are the biggest draw in Orlando, there are still plenty of other things to do and see and plenty of opportunities for fun outside of the park gates.  You just need to start exploring and see what you can find.

To take advantage of the many deals you’ll find in Florida, do your research ahead of time and always avoid buying your tickets at the park gates, as you’ll always end up paying more than if you had purchased them through a third-party authorized ticket seller.  Take your time when shopping around for the best deals on theme parks, events, hotels and even your flight, as there are tons of ways to save big when you plan ahead for your next trip to Florida.

Tickets in Orlando: What Kind of Adventure Do You Want to Have?

When it comes to planning the perfect trip to Orlando, it can be tough to know exactly where to go, what to see and where to buy your tickets.  If you’ve already started looking around for cheap tickets in Orlando, you are likely finding tons of choices for all of the parks.  Disney, Universal, SeaWorld and more are all at your fingertips when you visit Orlando – what kind of adventure are you looking for?

While the easiest way to save on tickets to anything in Orlando is to buy them ahead of time, it’s not always easy to know exactly where you want to go.  Park hopper tickets are one good option for those who aren’t quite decided yet, as you’ll automatically be given a choice of several different parks to choose from with the purchase of one ticket.  This is a great option if you are planning on visiting the bigger parks, including Disney and Universal Orlando, as these contain several theme park options within their walls, and it can be pricey to buy tickets to each park individually.

When considering where to go in Orlando, think about what time of year you’ll be going and the people you will be travelling with.  If you are travelling with kids and the temps will be hot, then you’ll definitely want to include some water-themed adventures in your trip, as cooling off is essential in Florida.  There are plenty of water parks both big and small that have something to offer for everyone in the family, so check out your options before purchasing your tickets.

Don’t forget to include some of the out-of-the-box destinations for your trip, including a visit to the historic Kennedy Space Center for a tour of the NASA museum and close up views of real rocket launches, and a trip down to the Daytona 500 speedway for a tour.  There are plenty of things to see and do in Florida and some great deals to be had in the process.  Check out the latest deals on fun Florida destinations and attractions today!

How to Find Authentic Orlando Attraction Tickets

Are you looking for Orlando attraction tickets at a discount, but want to make sure you aren’t wasting your money on a scam?  When it comes to many things in life, and especially in travel, it’s important to use some common sense and good judgment before purchasing anything.  While there are plenty of highly reputable and trustworthy Orlando discount ticket sellers out there, there are unfortunately those that are simply out to make a quick buck or to sell you something else.  Travelers that aren’t careful about where they buy their tickets from may find themselves with unusable tickets and no money left in their wallets.

It’s not always easy to spot a ticket scam in Orlando, but there are some simple signs that travelers should look out for.  First off, never purchase a ticket from a scalper or from a random booth on the street outside the park.  Unless you have researched a company online and verified that they are legitimate, you could just end up buying a worthless ticket, or worse, one that was stolen from someone else.  If the ticket is for Disney World, which now uses finger scan technology to prevent the use of stolen tickets, you’ll find yourself unable to get into the park and short the money you paid the ticket seller.

If you plan on spending more than one day at the parks, look for discounted multi-day passes.  These costs much, much less than if you purchased a ticket at the park gates each day, and you’ll be able to relax and enjoy your visit, versus trying to pack in all of the attractions in one day.

The key to finding great deals on Orlando attractions is that if something looks to good to be true or if the ticket seller just doesn’t seem official, run away!  Save your money for a company that is reputable and that offers the best deals on the attractions that you most want to see.  It’s a smart way to go and it can be incredibly fun to see just how much you can save.

A Spring Guide to Finding Amazing Orlando Ticket Deals

It’s time to put away those snow shovels, dust off your favorite pair of shorts and starting looking for amazing Orlando ticket deals!  Spring is a great time of year to visit Orlando.   Not only can you take advantage of great prices on admission to all of the best parks, but you can also enjoy the pleasant temperatures and lower humidity when you travel before the real heat of summer hits.

When shopping around for Orlando ticket deals this spring, keep in mind that you can typically find discounts on every detail of your trip and not just the airfare or hotel.  Discounted park passes are one little secret to visiting Orlando that many families have already discovered.  Discount passes and coupons for Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World and others are pretty easy to find, and they can make it possible to see many more of the biggest attractions than if you had to pay full price for each ticket.

There are plenty of lodging deals and options available for visitors to Orlando, and Spring is a great time to find a deal on a condo rental, resort room or a value hotel room that is located outside of the Disney resort hotels area.

Renting a condo in Orlando on a short-term basis is a great choice for those traveling with kids and those that have dietary restrictions.  Since Orlando is primarily aimed at the tourist market, it’s packed with plenty of chain restaurants and food options, but there aren’t a lot of choices if you have difficult food allergies.  Staying in a condo with a kitchen can save you money and also ensures that you won’t get sick from eating something you are allergic to during your visit.

Finally, to get the most out of your discounts, be sure to plan some fun activities that will maximize the time that you spend in Florida.  Take time out to visit the world famous Cocoa Beach and it’s local surfing scene, or plan to take a drive to visit some of the surrounding coastal towns that offer a completely different take on Florida.  It’s fun way to get the most out of your trip, and by mixing up these types of affordable side trips with visits to the theme parks, you can save money as well.

Is MagicBand the Answer to Next Generation Theme Park Experience?

iPhone or Ticket???

iPhone or Ticket???

The Official Ticket Center ~ Since its announcement in 2013, Disney World’s NextGen Project ~ MyMagic+ is seen as a landmark move on part of the company in taking future theme park vacations to the next level. Being termed as Next Generation Experience, the billion dollar Project features a new ride reservation system called the FastPass+ (FP+), which replaces the traditional Fastpass(FP) program. The Project also brings a My Disney Experience (website and mobile app) and a MagicBand system, which integrates all our vacation essentials with a magical wristband. Whether it’s the Disney Resort room key that you are looking for or a standard park tickets; whether you are making payments or managing the reservations, the RFID-enabled wristband is all that you need today.

Truly, Disney seems to have brought a substantial change in the way we looked forward to our future theme park vacations. The pursuit for a more advance and flexible theme park experience probably comes to an end with this billion dollar future vacation initiative. Also the rolling out of MyMagic+ already started influencing guests’ experiences today. And the company is really excited about it.

However, there are some speculations about MyMagic+ that question the credibility of the project and its features such as the MagicBand system. According to the latest development in the hotel access system today guests will soon be able to use their cell phones as room keys. The visitors simply have to tap or scan their smart phones to enter their rooms. As such there are debates on whether fans would rather go for a more expensive and dedicated Disney access system or just simply prefer to have their cell phones as mode of admissions. For some it seems Disney is at the wrong end of the stick with such a huge investment. The company should have waited for some more time and follow the industry standards by using cell phones as admissions instead of creating its own costly access system.

Sure the use of cell phones to manage our theme park access system will be much simpler and less expensive. And it’s also true that possibilities to incorporate the use of cell phones in other areas of future theme park vacations are many. But then MagicBand is a true Disney property – already installed and available for use. Also by developing its own system Disney ensures a better control over the experiences it promises to fulfill in future vacations. And I think visiting the parks with the new Wristbands is surely a unique experience.

Getting Bigger and More Exciting For the Muggles

New Diagon Ally at Universal Orlando Resort

New Diagon Ally at Universal Orlando Resort

The Official Ticket Center ~ Being a great fan of the world famous Boy Wizard and his amazing world of magic, I am very much excited about the new Harry Potter Expansions at the Universal Studios Florida Park. The prospect of exploring the London side of the story where you will be visiting the Diagon Alley or take a dark ride through the Gringotts vaults, or better still the opportunity to ride on the real Hogarth Express is incredible. And often the anticipation of a surprising journey from London’s King’s Cross station to Hogsmeade Village keeps me excited about an experience that can revolutionize the very nature of theme-park-entertainment today. Thanks to Universal Orlando for coming up with such a historic and world’s first ever multi-park fun initiative in honor of its most prized possession.

The new Diagon Alley attractions include two of the most promising Harry Potter rides for the muggles at Universal Orlando. Inspired with next-gen style animation and interactivity the Gringotts dark ride will take you through the Gringotts vaults, where guests will have encounters with dark wizards, including Voldemort. The most surprising Hogwarts Express ride on the other hand will connect visitors and guests with the two Potter Worlds- the new Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Florida park and the original Hogsmeade in the Islands of Adventure section of the Resort.

The original Wizarding World of Harry Potter is undoubtedly the most successful theme-park-entertainment initiative on part of Universal Orlando Resort. Since inception, it has been the centerpiece attraction and an object of great envy for the other big contenders in the business. Whether it’s the most amazing Hogwarts Castle or the Forbidden Journey Ride, Universal’s Creative team had left no stone unturned in bringing to life the most inspiring adventures of JK Rowlling’s world famous Harry Potter stories. Truly a visit to the Potter Land at the Islands of Adventure Park is a dream come true experience.

Moreover, the creation of such widely fancied attraction has changed the way we will perceive Universal Studios forever. In fact the Potter World proves to be a game changer for the Resort. The sudden increase in visits, including the overwhelming response from fans and visitors, and the high returns on investments of such repute had set a new bench-mark in the theme park industry today. The level of competition is being raised so high that even bigger challengers in the business like the Disney World is being forced to re-think. And while the competitors are trying their best to score an edge over the other, Universal is prudent enough to lead the way with the new Harry Potter Expansions.

There Is Always Something Magical About Disney Parades

Magical Parades at Disney World

Magical Parades at Disney World

The Official Ticket Center ~ Disney parades have always been the most spectacular and memorable source of attractions that the Park has to offer. They make an integral part of the Disney-Magic that we all love and enjoy time and again. With awesome display of creativity and technological brilliance they tend to capture the sights, sound and imaginations of fans for years now. For many a visit to the park wouldn’t be completed without seeing one of them. These most special, sparkling and out-of-the-world entertainment extravaganzas, beside their unique sights, sounds and technological creativities also offer great opportunities for fans to witness many favorite Disney characters – all in one place and at the same time. Whether its the amazing sound -tracks or dazzling floats or the characters decked with special costumes and waving at you, the entertainment that Disney parades offer is a never-ending saga of joy beyond imaginations.

Being a spectator to one of these amazing parade shows is like a dream come true. If anything, these unique entertainment events will make your theme-park experience even more special. They tend to offer the much needed excitement break during your park visits. Watching the colorful and spectacular parades on the streets of Magic Kingdom, or the enchanting parades at the Hollywood Studios or at Disney Animal Kingdom is simply delightful. Whether it’s during the day, or at night-fall, there is a special parade event for every parade lover in the park.

Talk about the all time classic Main Street Electrical Parade and you have a whole lot of memorable stories to hear about. This one of a kind night-time spectacle at the Magic Kingdom enjoys a very special place in the hearts and minds of fans since inception. It is the longest running parade in the Disney park history. The parade is also one of the largest Disney parades with about 23 floats, 80 performers and a galaxy of over 600,000 lights. One should not miss this legendary Parade.

Guests visiting the Disney parks also have many other great parade options to watch for such as Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade. This one of a kind day-time parade makes for a great celebration of classic Disney moments with upbeat music, floats and favorite Disney characters all cheering and marching ahead in front of your eye on the Main Street USA. Again the Animal Kingdom lovers also have the opportunity to witness the famous Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade where guests can join the team of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, including Rafiki, Donald and Goofy in a wild and larger-than-life tribute to all the animal friends. At the Hollywood Studios, parade lovers are greeted with the most colorful and interactive parade – Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun Parade featuring favorite characters from Disney films such as Monsters Inc, Toy Story and more.

Moreover, if you are a Disney Parade fan and planning to visit the Park sometime during spring 2014, the good news is you have an all new Parade marching into the Magic Kingdom. Disney had recently announced the coming of a new procession – Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. It is also revealed that the new Parade will incorporate the celebration of the new Fantasyland and features new innovative floats, costumes and original sound-tracks. Hope the upcoming Parade will take spectators experience to the next level.

What is you favorite dish? Trying all 29 Marketplaces in One Day at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

The fun is on the griddle at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, and there’s still time to enjoy the culinary adventures throughout the park before the event comes to a close November 12.

Half the fun of the festival is discovering new dishes in the 29 marketplaces. But what’s your favorite?

That’s the assignment I had on my recent trip around the Epcot culinary world. Whether it’s the subtle seasoning of the Kefta Pocket at the Morocco Marketplace; the volcano sauce on the Spicy Hand Roll at Japan; a smooth, fine Merlot from France; Griddled Greek Cheese at Greece or the wonderful selection of ales and beers at the Hops and Barley Marketplace, there’s a lot to please every palate. Rob, our Concerned Bystander, also makes a cameo in this video, but it seems his tune has changed just a tiny bit.

So, after experiencing all 29 marketplaces in one day, what was my favorite dish?

The Kalua Pork Slider (the chutney and spicy mayo are an unbeatable blend) from the Hawai’i Marketplace takes the top spot in my (very) unscientific sampling. Although the White Corn Arepa (AREPA!) from the Florida Local Marketplace was a close second. With the famous sweet corn from nearby Zellwood, Fla., it’s a tasty treat. (And if you order it, please shout “Arepa!” and you might get a reaction just like I did in the video.)

The best thing is that I received a special stamp at the Festival Center for visiting all 29 countries. (Although I might suggest visiting Epcot a few times before the event ends to collect all of the marketplace stamps!)

Let us know in the comments if you have visited all 29 marketplaces, or if you have discovered your favorite from this year’s festival. Arepa!
