A few weeks ago, we reported that Aquatica by Sea World in Orlando, Florida will be adding their first new attraction to the waterpark since it opened in Spring of 2008.  The new ride is expected to open in March, and has been described by Sea World reps  as a “waterslide taste of half-pipe, near-vertical thrills previously experienced only by daring skateboarders and snowboarders.”

Check out these awesome new photos of the new ride, currently under construction.

“Riders will speed down flumes into massive tunnels, sliding high up one side then the other, rocking back and forth, feeling a sensation of near weightlessness.”

As previously reported, the new ride will share a tower with the current Whanau Way attraction, and will seat two-guests at a time.  The “rocking river” slides are slated to expediate crowd dispersal, with fast loading times and a large rider capacity.
