Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2009

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a Halloween-themed special event held select dates in September, October and November in Magic Kingdom theme park that requires a separate ticket to attend.

The event will be held from 7pm–12am on the following dates in 2009:
September 4, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, 29
October 1, 2, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31
November 1

During Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, guests of all ages are encouraged to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes. Even better, you can collect delicious candy as you trick-or-treat around Magic Kingdom theme park.

In addition to many favorite Disney attractions, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is filled with special entertainment, including:

  • Trick-or-Treating – Goodies for your ghouls. Locations indicated on the park map.

  • Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade—including Disney Characters and the stars of the Haunted Mansion attraction. The parade begins with a spook-tacular ride by the Headless Horseman. Parade Times: 8:15 PM and 10:30 PM
  • Happy HalloWishes—a spectacular fireworks show where the Disney Villains go trick-or-treating in the sky. Time: 9:30 PM
  • Disney’s Villains Mix & Mingle – Favorite Disney Villains take center stage in this Halloween production. Stick around, you don’t know who you may meet after the show. Show Times: 7:45, 9:00, 10:05, and 11:15 PM.
  • Character Dance Parties – Dance the night away with Disney Character friends. Rock-It Out..Sitch’s Club 626, Rockettower Plaza Stage, Tomorrowland. Get Up and BOO-gie Dance Party, Ariel’s Grotto, Fantasyland.
  • Special lighting, music and theming effects transforms special areas of Magic Kingdom theme park into happy haunted hollows.

Hallow-Hints

Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade begins in Frontierland and ends in Town Square. The second parade is less crowded… and gives you more time to collect treats! Each treat location hands out a similar assortment of treats.

The Merchants of Venus merchandise location in Tomorrowland is the Headquarters for all Halloween merchandise.

Visit The Pirates League in Adventureland for a Pirate Transformation. Open until 8:00 PM on event nights.

It’s a Pirate’s Life for You! (reservation required)
Ahoy, mateys! Begin your piratical transformation when you receive your Official Pirate Name as recorded from the leather-bound captain’s log. Next, stop by the Muster Station and leave your old self behind as the Pirate Masters perform a marauder’s makeover. Hear the ways of the scurvy sea dogs as they apply yer buccaneer beard, scars, earrings and eye patches. Or even be ye a boney pirate and wear your skeleton on yer skin!

 
Once you have fully transformed, enter the Secret Room where your Pirate Portrait is taken for posterity and the Pirate Masters reveal their hidden treasure.

But the fun is just beginning. With your new pirate identity and map case folder, hoist yer colors and embark on a challenge in Adventureland that will shiver yer timbers!

** The tone of the event is, well, “Not-So-Scary”, and is appropriate for children of all ages.  Standard Magic Kingdom theme park admission tickets will not allow Guests to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
