Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom Set To Close Mickey's Toontown Fair in Feburary 2011

Magic Kingdom ~ Mickey’s Toontown Fair will close in February as Walt Disney World expands Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom.

Officials say Feb. 11 is the last day to visit Toontown.

Plans call for Mickey Mouse and some other animated characters to move into a new home in the spring. Mickey, Minnie and the Disney Princesses will be heading to Town Square Exposition Hall for meet and greets from the Spring of 2011. Before that time they will be located in other areas around the Magic Kingdom.

Tinker Bell will be meeting and greeting in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The other fairies will appear in Epcot from the Spring of 2011.

The Railroad station in Toontown Fair will be closed, but the railroad will continue operation.

Disney broke ground earlier this year on the expansion of Fantasyland. New exhibits will open in phases, with most construction expected to be completed by 2013.
