Disney Weekly Scoop

Hi everyone! Pat Pulliam here to tell you about the current Disney Water Park info. As Disney would say,”C’mon in, the water’s fine”! As of March 22nd., Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is open for business. Guests can once again get “Blown Away”! The water park features attractions for the whole family. They have everything from fast waterslides to a children’s area with pint-sized raft rides. You can also catch  the 6ft. waves in the Surf Pool and also snorkel with the real sharks over at the Shark Reef. No extra cost for this! Some of the definite must-do’s in their 56 acre topsy-turvey, sun-drenched Water Park are:

Ketchakiddie Creek:   This is a water play area filled with fun water features and kid-sized slides– a perfect place to play for little ones who are under 48 inches tall.

Castaway Creek:  This is a meandering stream that circles the park– a mild, relaxing ride for Guests of all ages. This is a great place to sip a cold beverage and take a nap!!!

Crush `n` Gusher:  This is one of my favorite rides at Typhoon Lagoon. It’s a gravity-defying, multi-rider, coaster-like raft ride with gushing jets of water–a thrill for big kids, teens and adults.

On a side note, I would like to let you in on a little secret! If you ever wanted to learn how to surf without the sharks and sand being cramed in your face, then I will tell you that Typhoon Lagoon has Surfing Lessons in the mornings before the park opens.
