Revenge of Chucky Scare Zone- Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights 2018

Get Ready to Face Chucky, Killer Klowns in the Streets of Halloween Horror Nights 2018

With the announcement of Chucky and Killer Klowns Universal Orlando has done with the final list of its five scare zones for the 2018 Halloween event. So get ready to face the world’s deadliest doll in the Revenge of the Chucky scare zone or the killer klowns with ray guns from the outer space zone. The Harvest, Twisted Traditions and Vamp 85: New Year’s Eve are the remaining three scare zones that will haunt the streets in Halloween Horror Nights as well.

Both Chucky and Killer Klowns are beloved IPs from the 80’s. While Chucky returns to Halloween as a conductor of toy fair-turned-bloodbath, the cult classic Killer Klowns from Outer Space comes to transform you into a tasty blood-soaked cotton candy. Be prepared to face murderous monkeys, deadly board game, including the world’s deadliest doll in the Revenge of Chucky scare zone. Set at a toy fair that had turned lethal with childhood toys twisted into new nightmares.

Killer Klowns fron Outer Space Scare Zone - Halloween Horror NIghts 2018

Killer Klowns fron Outer Space Scare Zone – Halloween Horror NIghts 2018

Unlike Chucky, the 1980’s cult classic Killer Klowns from Outer Space is not a series of films. It’s one film that has inhibited a more nostalgic place in the hearts of horror fans. Killer Klowns has been considered as the king of B-flicks of its decade. It features the invasion of aliens in the form of killer klowns with UFOs and popcorn-shooting guns. The same invaders are now in the streets of Halloween Horror Nights as well. Be careful while roaming the park streets. They are stalking you. I’m sure you don’t want to be their next human crops, preserved in the form of a grotesque cotton candy.

The Harvest scare zone replicates a sinister barn, featuring foul and creepy creatures in search of the bloodiest harvest ever. At the Vamp 85: New Year’s Eve scare zone it seems just like a New Year’s Eve party until it’s too late. As the ball drops, your smiles will turn into unstoppable screams. You can’t escape the terrible tortures from a whole slew of creepy elements that descends upon you. The Twisted Tradition scare zone on the other hand puts you in the middle of another most terrifying horror experience with nothing but only the light from rotting Jack-o-lanterns.

When it comes to the haunted houses, there is more of it than before. The 2018 event will have a total of 10 haunted houses to take the spine-chilling experience to the next level. Halloween Horror Nights 2018 is the 28 th annual Halloween event at Universal Orlando. The hard ticketed event, not included with regular universal studios tickets. Visit the universal Orlando Halloween site for event tickets. The event is held on select nights from September 14 through November 3, 2018. This is one of the most intense horror event and as such not recommended for children under 13 years of age. Also costumes and masks are prohibited.

Summer fun with the family at Universal Orlando Resort

Universal Studios Tickets

If you can remember all of those summer vacations with mom and dad when you were a kid and having the time of your life, you had a pretty cool childhood. The vacations of the past can be re-lived  and the memories can be passed down now to your kids at Universal Orlando Resort. Venturing off of the Disney plantation in Orlando, one can have a pretty kick butt, action packed vacation minus princesses and talking mice.

Universal has marketed itself as a vacation from the ordinary and for good reason! They have crafted a vacation destination for teens as well as adults but the little ones in the group have not been forgotten. This vacation destination has something for everyone and then some. Now with three parks to escape to, Universal has made their little slice of heaven a weeks plus long getaway!

The one great thing that I personally love about Universal Orlando is that they listen to what their guests want and their ability to offer ticket specials as they see fit. Currently they are 3 extra days free on select tickets and sold through licensed partners like The Official Ticket Center, a local ticket agency that has been in business for over 20 years. Universal Studios tickets and other seasonal specials like this are what can let a family of four take a much needed vacation at a pretty nice discount.

If there was a cherry on top of everything under their umbrella it would have to be their all new Volcano Bay water park. This in my opinion is the Disney water park killer. I have been to them all and Volcano Bay is by far my favourite. If you can’t afford that trip to Bali or Tahiti, this is the next best thing especially if you have a few of their signature drinks to get your mind into the game!

Pardon the Pixie Dust While Visiting Islands of Adventure

As you may know by now, Universal Studios in Orlando has a sister park called Islands of Adventure. It sits about 100 yards away from Universal Studios and is the home of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. As you know, all theme parks need a little down time to get things fixed and a new coat of paint. This is exactly what’s happening at Islands of Adventure at the moment. Not to be alarmed, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is up and running! They would be out of their minds if they closed this down, but not to worry Harry Potter fans, all is well in the wizard world.

The biggest closure has to be the Hulk Roller Coaster. This was dismantled and removed for refurbishment and is set to be back terrifying travelers by the first part of spring. This was a huge letdown for me last weekend as this is my favorite ride in Islands of Adventure! I try to start my day on this adrenaline inducing ride as it will set my energy level for the remainder of the day. Dr. Doom’s was still dropping guests and The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man was whisking guests through the streets of New York in 3-D. Many guests were wandering around wondering what to do as Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls was out of commission as well as Popeye’s Bilge Rat Barges was down for the count too!

It would seem that all of the water rides were not operational either for repair reasons or for the fact that it was 50 degrees outside on the day I went. Dudley Do Right’s had a wall up around it, so I would guess that they were working on it rather than it being closed for the weather. The next sight on the way around the park was the walls surrounding the all new Skull Island: Reign of Kong attraction that is set to open in the summer of 2016. This will definitely be another star attraction to Universal’s arsenal and is sure to have travelers raving about it once it opens! The next big bummer of the day had to be Jurassic Park! It was running but no one was riding as it was freezing outside. Sure, there were a few not so smart souls who decided to ride this get soaked water ride and were not so happy afterwards trying to dry off in the 50 degree air with the rest of the day in front of them. Not me!

Then there was the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It looked like everyone in the park was there. For the most part the rest of the park was still operational and Dr, Seuss’s was busy entertaining children as well as adults who wanted to take a ride with The Cat and the Hat. The park seemed to be busy, but I really don’t think people got their money’s worth on this day as many of the rides were either shut down for refurbishment or were to cold to ride at all. It was still a very beautiful adventure, but one that would have been better if the weather had been 25 degrees warmer.

On a good note, we did save quite a bit of money by purchasing our tickets through a discount tickets provider, “The Official Ticket Center” located over in Kissimmee and were able to buy discounted Disney tickets as well as discounted Universal Studios tickets. The Ever Growing Universal Studios Orlando Resort

Lately things look a little bigger at Orlando’s Universal Studios Resort! Just driving by on I-4 and looking over at the park, you can tell something big is going on. Probably the biggest thing one will notice are all of the skyscraper cranes up in the sky and the skeletal frames of a new Loews Resort going up. Universal Orlando Resort in in construction mode and by the looks of it, there is no slowing up anytime soon. In the past few years Universal Studios Orlando has managed to add multiple new attractions as well as purchasing around 500 new acres to build more on.

Islands of adventure is their sister park that site right next to Universal Studios and was the first of their theme parks to build the now famous Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Building on this idea Universal Studios was the next to get into the Harry Potter hugely popular market by building their own Diagon Alley. Both parks now are connected by the new Hogswort Express, a train that took Harry and his friends to wizarding school every year in the movies. This would be Universal version to Disney’s Monorail. Now that the dust has settled on these two fantastic additions, Universal is back at it with big ideas and big pockets to do it with.

The latest is a fan favourite that used to be at Universal Studios and was deeply missed when he left back in September of 2002. That ride was Kongfrontation and was at the Studios since June of 1990. The people at Universal saw a great opportunity to bring the big guy back when Peter Jackson remade the old black and white movie a few back to audience’s amazement. This was the catalyst to make a new version of Kongfrontation and rename it Skull Island: Reign of Kong. This new ride in Islands of Adventure will be ready to ride in the summer of 2016. This will be in the area next to Jurassic Park and the Toon Lagoon area next to Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls.

Probably the coolest thing that is to come will be their third park addition, Volcano Bay. This will be Universal’s new water park that will have the look and feel of being in the south Pacific on a island made from the explosion of a volcano. Complete with a spewing cinder cone and wave pool, this will redefine the waterpark experience of old! This project is set for a grand opening in the summer of 2017 and will reside south of Universal’s Cabana Bay Resort and just off of I-4. If you are planning a trip to anyone of these famous theme parks and need help finding discounts on Universal Studios tickets or Islands of Adventure tickets, please call our office toll free at 1-877-406-4836 today and speak with one of our vacation planners today.

Theme Parks, Screaming Parents and Disfunction Oh My!

Have you ever been on vacation and witnessed a situation that made you cringe or better yet made you want to rethink your choice of destination? I can’t count how many times I have been at a theme park in Orlando and witnessed a parent yelling at a tired child or worse seen grown adults getting into fights over the dumbest things. The other day I was waiting for the Ferry Boat to take me and my little princess back to the parking lot and Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park and a older man walked right up next to us and started clipping his nasty nails within feet of my little girl. When I said excuse me sir, he just looked at me and went right back to making his nasty little pile of fingernail clippings. When he was done, he just kicked them around and spread them for the people to walk through.

Nastyness is everywhere and I guess it is all in how you deal with it. You may remember not to long ago, two women at one of the other Disney parks got into a fistacuf over someone getting to close in line and then started beating the crap out of one another with umbrellas all while children looked on. Such an ugly site for anyone to witness but those little souls were probably scared for life after seeing the ugly side of adults at such a magical place. I have to admit that there have been times that I have lost my cool, but was smart enough to take a deep breath and walk away, but all to often this is not the case. When you mix long days with heat and add a little beer to the mix, things are going to get a little testy from time to time.

Last week I was at Universal Studios Orlando and witnessed a man yelling at the top of his lungs at his little boy for not moving in the right direction for dads perfect vacation photo. I think he knew he was losing it when everyone around him just liked at him with shame, but some people just do give a damn about how they are acting or how they look doing it! When you start mixing long hot days with screaming kids and throw in a beer or two, things are going to get a little ugly. Some of the worst times that I have been at a theme park and just saw absolute chaos had to be at Epcot during their International Wine & Food Festival. Not a place for non-drinking people who do not like to see loud obnoxious people have a good time.

If you are a traveler who wishes to visit during the least stressful time, I recommend going during time when kids are in school and the season is cool with no 100 degree days. The hottest times seem to be the most stressful times as many travelers are not used to our hot steamy Florida days. It can suck the life right out of someone, leaving them stressed and dehydrated. This is not good if you are supposed to be taking of kids or elderly people. Just remember to stay cool, come during the right time and try to stay away from drink festivals if traveling with small children.
