Brand New Projection Show Transforms Cinderella’s Castle into Living Art

The night-time experience at Magic Kingdom Park takes a new leap with the launch of a brand new castle projection show that replaces the old ‘Celebrate the Magic’ projection show. During the occasion the entire Cinderella Castle transforms into a living art. And guests will experience a magical adventure amidst vibrant images and scenes from favorite Disney films. Begins November 4, 2016, the new – Once Upon a Time projection show features many characters and favorite Disney moments from tales such as Peter Pan, Cinderella, and Frozen. Also include scenes from Beauty and the Beast, Alice in Wonderland and the many adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

Once Upon a Time has its inspiration from the Tokyo Disneyland show of the same name. With one of a kind projection technology, 3D effects and more, it brings to life some of the most unique story-telling moments that Disney has to offer. In the Show you have Mrs. Potts (from Beauty and the Beast) sharing the favorite bedtime stories with Chip. The one of a kind Show takes you on a never-before magical trip that ends in a grand finale with the appearance of more characters from timeless classics and spectacular fireworks display above the Castle.

Whether it’s a fantasy flight with the forever young Peter Pan from London to Never Land or the sight of Mad Hatter’s whimsical tea party, watching Winnie the Pooh and his rise to the top of the castle or the duel between Gaston and Beast waltzing, everything is extra magical about it. Like its predecessor Once Upon a Time uses the best in projection mapping technology to re-create the most fascinating three-dimensional effect, covering every corners and contours of the iconic Castle, from the base to the tips of its towers and turrets.

Once Upon a Time is about 14 minutes long and is essentially the pre-show to the most popular Magic Kingdom fireworks show ‘Wishes’. Once Upon a Time brings an end to the existing ‘Celebrate the Magic’ projection show – one of the most anticipated night-time attractions for the last four consecutive years. The special Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Nighttime spectacular show has the entire Chinese Theater facade as its temporary stage. Led by elves Wayne and Lanny the new Show takes us through some of the most memorable holiday moments, featuring scenes from Disney films like Mickey’s Christmas Carol, Beauty and the Beast, Bambi, Pluto’s Christmas Tree, including Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. As the duo from the animation “Prep & Landing” embarks on their most fascinating yuletide adventure the entire area turns into a dazzling delight. And the great movie scenes that followed together with the special message from the big Christmas guy contribute to a grand festive finale.

The Show also offers exclusive Holiday Dessert Party experience with reserved viewing areas and includes special desserts and beverage options. Guests can reserved a spot in the courtyard of the iconic Chinese Theater one hour prior to the Show. The Dessert Party guests will also have special 3D glasses – that make viewing even more fun. Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Holiday spectacular is definitely the must see Show for the entire family.
